How to get kids to eat their vegetables.

In this pot we have: Tomatoes, onion, yellow carrot, orange carrot, garlic, basil, mushrooms, celery and parsley.

Tomato sauce is a wonderful way to hide vegetables. You can literally put any vegetable in, blend it up and serve it to your kids! This tomato sauce is for the children at my kids’ school for their hot lunch; I mix it with some whole wheat bow pasta.

Other vegetables I  sometimes use are: Potato, yam, sweet potato, broccoli, kale, beets (they have rather a strong flavour, so don’t use many), turnip, cabbage, lettuce, zucchini, pepper; really whatever I have in the house.
