This is the little cucumber that I would have liked to have left on the vine a little longer. Unfortunately it was planted near some nasturtiums that got covered in some kind of black fly/bug; sadly the bugs thought they’d migrate to the cucumber vine too. I figured the only thing to do was to pull out the nasturtiums, and hope for the best. The cucumber vine was partially being supported by the nasturtiums, now they were gone, the poor little cucumber was holding by a few strands, so I thought it best to pick it, and eat it. It was lovely and white inside, very crunchy, and ‘looked like a real cucumber’ said my youngest son; fancy that!
