My kids love pizza pretzels from the grocery store. Of course they’re made with white pasty dough, non-organic tomato sauce, etc. Well, they go on about them so much, I decided that we had to make some at home, to keep them happy (to shut them up). I have a simple dough recipe, no chemicals, no preservatives, organic, and I make it half white and half whole wheat flour, so the kids don’t feel completely cheated. I make it in the bread machine, and if the kids are lucky, they get to shape the dough into whatever they like. As you can see, I was in a rush, and made sticks. After the dough is put on the baking tray, I spoon on some organic tomato sauce (one that has veggies in), and sprinkle some cheese on top; in the oven it goes, and voila, pizza pretzels/sticks.
