Dinner tonight was – Hmmm, stick your head in the fridge, hmmm, what can be made out of all this…
Well, I found left over potato, rice, beans, and broccoli. I heated up some olive oil in the frying pan, then added all the left overs until they were nice and hot. At the same time I also had some scrambled egg cooking in another pan. Now, eggs for us are a special treat. We don’t buy just any old eggs, or even eggs from the grocery store. The hell that chickens go through in their lives is intolerable and the way in which they are slaughtered is horrendous. So obviously I do not want to support this with my money by buying eggs. We get our eggs from my son’s friend. They have chickens as pets and they have a great life and are never sent to a slaughter-house.
My nearly six-year-old was having a hard time eating the beans, so we decided we’d have chocolate pudding for dessert, and as an incentive. He ate his food in record time!
This chocolate pudding is so easy to make and it has no sugar in it. The ingredients are: cocoa, arrowroot powder, agave nectar, and unsweetened soy milk. It tastes naughty, but there’s nothing awful in there; and poured over the top of a chopped banana is just heaven.
