Chili Dinner

This was our dinner tonight. Chili, not too spicy. Lots of beans and veggies. My nearly six-year-old said ‘Yuck’ and wouldn’t eat it, I told him that this was all there was for dinner tonight and he sat there for a while before deciding to eat it. After his bowl was scraped clean, he did admit that he liked it. This does seem like a pattern with him recently – so, note to self, don’t pay any attention to what nearly six-year-old says about my cooking!

There was enough left over to pack some in my oldest son’s lunch for school tomorrow. He loves chili.

    I have found that you can make a chili slightly spicier without turning off sensitive taste buds by adding a tin of tomato puree. The thick tomato sauce seems to absorb the heat somehow.
