Sore Throat

Sage is my sore throat friend. I take a few leaves, maybe four or five and put them in my small tea-pot, pour boiling water over and let sit for 10 mins. Sometimes I drink it like that, if my throat is really sore I add a tablespoon each of honey and lemon juice.

So right now when the kids are coming home from school with coughs and colds I’m doing everything I can to avoid it, but I do have a sore, dry throat. So lots of cups of sage tea, gargling with salt water, and oil of oregano are my recipe for keeping your head above water.
